Library Sections...!!!Acquisition Section
Central Library procure books, periodicals and other materials form different publishers and booksellers situated in and outside the country through Distributors. In the acquisition work, selection, placing orders, giving reminders, passing the bills and few other activities are included. All these activities can be reduced greatly through cooperative acquisition of documents. Moreover it may bring down cost, earn a larger discount and save time and clerical labour of the staff members. Technical Section
Technical Section are divided into two vital functions, ei., (a) Classification and (b) ) Data Entry of Books/Journals etc (c) Labeling Pasting Circulation Section
The function of the circulation section is to issue and return of the books. Issue and return of books is handled with the help of computers (using KOHA Software). Books are issued to the members for 15 days, Journals/Non print material/Reference books are issued for Overnight only and after that fine is chargedwhich is rupees 20.00 per day on every issued material. The timings of issue and return of books from Monday-Friday (09:30 a.m. to 08:30 p.m.) and Saturday-Sunday (09:30 am to 01:30 pm). Periodical Section
In this section, Journals which are subscribed by the library for the current year are displayed. The Library subscribes about 57 Foreign and 63 Indian Journals,, magazines and newspapers. in addition to this W.H.O. Global Subscription Package (2003-2019) is also there for the members. Reference Section
Reference books are not issuable but readers may consult these within the premises of the Library and in cases of special requirement by the users these are issued for overnight only. Besides the medical books we have displayed Non-Medical Books/Encyclopedia/Yearbook/Dictionaries etc also. Reprographic Section
The facility to Photostat is also available in the library against a nominal charge of 1 Rupees per document. Audio-Visual Section
There is one hall in library, in which Projector with Computer, DVD Player, TV are available for the members to show different subject's DVD, VCD, Vedio Cassettes etc. News Paper Section
Eight (01 English, 04 Hindi) News Paper are coming daily for the library. Library is providing Press-Clipping service also for the users. Internet Section
Library has one Lab of 50 Computers for using internet. Library provides EJ-Server facility to the members. Online Journals facility (EJ-Server) for downloading & Printing Materials of Foreign & Indian Journals. |
