Central Library, Government Medical Collage Haldwani one of the most prestigious Automated and well equipped library in Uttarakhand state. The library is situated at medical college campus. The library caters to the reading research and reference needs of the users. Most important aims of this library is to collect organize and disseminate relevant information on Medical Science, Clinical, Para clinical & non-clinical fields. Government Medical college library is a special library because it provides very efficient information on special collection to its users. College conducts under-graduate and post-graduate courses of MD/MS and MBBS. The medical college library has been used by various medical students. The library has the large collection of books of medical sciences and the focus have been given to the special collection in this field for the fulfillment of the demand of its users.

A separate library building with arrangement for at least 500 students for reading at a time. Separate halls for stacking and display the books and journals are available. Separate room for reading journals, reference books, newspaper and magazines for students and staffs are available. Librarian room & other staff rooms, internet section, reprography section, circulation section, binding section, technical section, audio-visual room, Seminar hall etc. are available in the central library. Central Library providing all modern facilities such as UpToDate Portal, ejserver, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), Online Anti Plagiarism Software and CD-ROMs in different disciplines.
