LIBRARY RULES & REGULATIONS

• Members are required to carry their Identity card at all times and must show them at the request of the Library Staff. Also requested to make the entry at every in time & out time in Entry Registrar kept on reception counter.
• Bags, briefcases, handbags, parcels, aprons or other receptacles are not allowed to bring inside the library. Such bags, briefcases, handbags, etc. may be left in the property counter provided in the library. Users are advised not to keep their valuable things in the property counter. The library accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of any articles so left.
• All books/journals and other library materials are to be used with care. No user shall deface the library books by underlining or scribbling notes in the margins, etc.
• Any marking or writing inside the books by the members is strictly prohibited. If any damage/marking is found, the member should replace the book.
• Engaging in conversation/discussion/group study inside the reading halls is strictly prohibited.
• Snacks, Drink & Fruit (except water) not allowed in Central Library. Sleeping and talking are strictly prohibited in the Library.
• Strict silence, decorum and discipline must be maintained in the Library. Mobiles phones are to be switched of or to be kept on silent mode in the library.
• Loss of book by the borrower should be reported to the Circulation immediately to avoid fine. Further, borrower shall either replace the book or bear its current cost.
• Each student can issue 02 books for 7 day for reading at home/hostel. He/she have to return the books on or before due date. If the book returned/renewed after due date the fine will be charged per day.
• On Identity card book will be issued for reference purpose in Central Library only. Reader will have to return the book/Journal on the same day issued on Identity card.
• Borrower card is nontransferable. Students must not lend their Borrower card to any other student to borrow books from the Library. Library facilities will be withdrawn for students misusing cards.
• Reference books/Newspapers and Magazines/Journals should not be taken out of the library.
• Two renewals will be permitted if there are no reservations against these books. For renewal, books have to be presented physically at the library counter.
• Users must observe copyright regulations and provision in respect of all library items.
